There are many project management tools out there to choose from and it can get overwhelming trying to work out which one is best for you.
I’ve tried a couple of different ones for my business, but the one I’ve stuck with due to it’s functionality and (fairly) ease of use is Asana.
WHAT IS ASANA?
Asana is a project management tool which allows you to share projects, tasks, to do lists and more with other team members, or clients. It helps you organise everything so you can cut down on emails going back and forth to find out whether things have been done or not.
HOW IS IT STRUCTURED?
Asana is structured into Teams, Projects and Tasks. For example, you could view “Teams” as a certain department in your business, or if you’re a solo business owner, like me, you may want to set it out differently (I break my “Teams” down into BUSINESS / MARKETING / CLIENTS).
Within your teams, you can add your projects – these could be specific projects or big tasks that you’re working on for example.
Within each of your projects, you then have your tasks (and sub-tasks if you need to break it down even further!).
This handy photo from Asana’s blog breaks this down.

NEED SOME HELP?
If you’re struggling to work out how to use Asana, or would like to learn how to use it more effectively, you can book one of my Asana Power Hours for £75.
During the Power Hour, we’ll share screens via Zoom and I’ll give you an overview of Asana, how it works, and I can help you get yours set up so that it works for your business.
You’ll come away from the hour feeling more able to use Asana in a way that maximises productivity for you and your business!
